Located in Denver, Colorado, the new TruStile Doors headquarters reflects a modern approach to workplace design, rooted in a contemporary mountain aesthetic. Throughout the space, TruStile products are thoughtfully integrated, reinforcing a strong connection to the brand while blending modern technology with traditional craftsmanship. Access to natural light was a key priority, with open office areas and primary amenity spaces positioned along the building perimeter to maximize daylight and exterior views. Designed by Ware Malcomb and constructed by Ryan Companies, the project also introduces a café and patio that extends this connection outdoors, where retractable shade enhances usability without compromising brightness or openness.
For the outdoor patio, ShadeFX installed six custom 26′ × 14′ motorized canopy systems with integrated gutters, creating a seamless transition. The retractable canopies provide shade and weather protection when needed while maintaining open views to the surrounding landscape. Finished in RAL 9005 Jet Black and paired with Ferrari White fabric, the systems align with the project’s clean, modern aesthetic. Motorized operation allows the canopies to extend or retract throughout the day, adapting the space for dining, meetings, and informal gatherings.
These retractable systems play a key role in activating the café patio as a functional extension of the workplace, by supporting collaboration, connection, and everyday use of outdoor space within the TruStile Doors headquarters campus.
